Official Rules:
"New Orleans Hornets" Promotion
Sponsors: ABC26
Thursday March 27, 2008 - Wednesday April 2, 2008
1. Two ways to Enter:
No Purchase Necessary to enter or win. Send in a postcard to ABC26, c/o
"New Orleans Hornets", 1 Galleria Blvd., Suite 850, Metairie, LA 70001.
On the postcard write your name, address, city, state, zip code, daytime
phone number and age or complete the online entry form at http://abc26.com/community/contests/
and click on the New Orleans Hornets.
Entrants must use
their own name. Copies or other mechanical reproductions, facsimiles,
entries containing technical or electronic reproductions, e-mail entries
containing attached files are not eligible and will be rejected. Contest
Sponsors shall not be responsible for entries that are lost, late, misdirected,
garbled, or incompletely received, damaged, illegible, late, or arrive
postage due for any reason, including by reason of hardware, software,
browser, or network failure, malfunction, congestion, or incompatability
at abc26.com, or elsewhere, will not be eligible. One winner per household
and only one entry from same email address allowed each day of contest
on each site. Failure to comply with official rules will result in disqualification.
Odds of winning depend on number of entries received.
2. Deadline: The
contest begins Thursday March 27 and ends Wednesday April 2, 2008. All
entries must be received by midnight on Wednesday, April 2 midnight. Mailed
entries must arrive at ABC26 in Thursday, April 3 morning mail.
3. Winner Selection
and Notification: Two (2) entries will be selected in a random drawing
on or about Wednesday, April 2, 2008. The winner will be notified by telephone
and/or email. If selected entry is not eligible, another entry will be
chosen and notified. This will continue until an eligible winner is chosen.
4. The Prize: Each
Winner will receive two tickets to the New Orleans Hornets home game in
the New Orleans Arena on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at noon (approximate value:
$200).
5. Eligibility Restrictions:
a. This contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees
of ABC26, New Orleans Hornets, Tribune Broadcasting (the "Contest Sponsors")
and their subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising agencies, and their
immediate families, are not eligible to win.
b. Entrants must be a resident of Louisiana or Mississippi in order to
win.
c. Winners who have won a prize from ABC26 within the last thirty days
are ineligible and will be disqualified.
6. Conditions of
Entry:
a. Use of Winner's Name: By entering, each entrant grants permission,
without further compensation, the Contest Sponsors, and their agents and
licensees, to use the entrant's name, voice, photograph, likeness and
biographical material for broadcast and promotional purposes in connection
with the contest.
b. Execution of Affidavit and Release: By entering, each entrant agrees
that if selected as the winner, he/she will sign a release and waiver
of liability. The prize will be forfeited and awarded to another entrant
if the winner and their companion do not execute the prepared form of
release and waiver within thirty days of the contest, or if the selected
winner is not eligible in accordance with these rules.
c. Release Station and Sponsor of Liability: By entering, contestants
agree to release The Contest Sponsors from any claim, loss, liability,
damage or injury of any kind arising from their participation and the
participation companion in the contest or their receipt or use of the
contest prize.
d. No Prize Substitutions: No substitute prizes are available; however,
contest sponsors may, at their discretion, substitute prizes of equal
or greater value.
e. Minors: If winner is a minor, the winner's parent or legal guardian
must sign the release on the minor's behalf.
7. A Copy of the Rules
can be obtained by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to ABC26,
c/o "New Orleans Hornets" Rules, 1 Galleria Blvd., Suite 850, Metairie,
LA 70001.
8. A Copy of Winners
can be obtained by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to CW38,
c/o "New Orleans Hornets" Rules, 1 Galleria Blvd., Suite 850, Metairie,
LA 70001.
