The Adoption and Maternity Services
The Adoption and Maternity Program has united thousands of families over many decades, as a licensed adoption agency and a respected pioneer in issues such as open adoption. Adoption and Maternity is a full service agency. The program also places children in state custody with permanent families. We work with Wendy's Wonderful Kids, a national initiative that finds adoptive parents for youngsters in foster care. After School Assembly
After School Assembly provides a safe, fun, educational environment for children K-8 from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm weekdays. In three locations throughout the New Orleans area, students receive help with homework, a snack, and have the opportunity to participate in dance, athletics and other enrichment activities. Counselors are at each location daily. There is a $25 registration fee, but the program is free. Crescent House Healing Center
Crescent House Healing Center protects battered women and their children and empowers them to regain control of their lives. We are now providing non-residential services. Crescent House offers empowerment counseling, a 24-hour crisis line, comprehensive case management services, and intervention services for children including music, art, and play therapy to break the cycle of abuse. Head Start
Head Start programs provide education, social services, and health screenings to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Early Head Starts serve children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old, while Head Stars serve children 3 to 5 years old.

Hope Haven Center
Hope Haven is a residential treatment facility for children and adolescents ages 5 -18 who have mild to serious behavioral, educational, emotional, and/or family problems. Our services include: psychiatric and psychological evaluation and treatment; behavior management; individual, family, and group psychotherapy; health services; special education services; recreational programs; and religious participation.

Independent Living Skills Program
Independent Living Skills Program (ILSP) assists teens and young adults (14-21) transitioning from foster care or the Office of Youth Development's custody to independent life. The Aftercare program serves young adults (18-25) who continue to struggle with the long-term challenges of independent living. Lighthouse 21st Century
The newly christened Lighthouse 21st Century is working with even more children, in an after-school program at the Milestone/SABIS® Academy, an Uptown charter school. Project SAVE
Project SAVE provides free, emergency legal representation to survivors of domestic violence in Orleans Parish. Staff attorneys help with legal orders to keep survivors safe and to protect their legal rights. Our legal services may include temporary restraining and protection orders, temporary child support, custody, and use of property.

Sexual Assault Services
Crescent House provides a sexual assault crisis counseling program that serves, women, men, children, and caregivers. Summer Witness
Summer Witness operates camps located in the Greater New Orleans area during the summer, providing education, recreation, nutrition services, and a swimming program for children who would otherwise not have the opportunity.

Family Preservation
Family Preservation is an intensive treatment program seeking to preserve family unity and protect children in their own homes from abuse and neglect. Family Resource Center
The Family Resource Center offers many services to foster and adoptive children and their families with one basic goal: keeping families together by making them healthier and stronger. To achieve this goal, parents need to be empowered to overcome obstacles to their well-being, safety and integrity. The Family Resource Center helps by providing a variety of services and support systems. Therapeutic Family Services
Therapeutic Family Services places behaviorally disordered, developmentally delayed, or medically dependent youth in the homes of certified foster parents. Alpha House Adult Day Health Care Center
Alpha House Adult Day Health Care Center provides full-day services (Monday - Friday) to disabled and elderly participants. Foster Grandparents
Foster Grandparents is a program that benefits low-income seniors and special needs children. The Foster Grandparents provide their life experience, wisdom, love, and attention to encourage and mentor children and troubled teens in a variety of settings such as schools, Head Start and day care centers, shelters, and rehabilitation facilities. Food For Families
Food for Families provides nutritional food boxes to mothers, infants, children, and seniors. The program has multiple distribution sites and even more mobile, prepackaged distribution sites. Food For Families currently holds a food box drive thru at Zephyrs Stadium Lot A on the first Friday of each month for seniors. Second Harvest Food Bank
Second Harvest Food Bank distributes donated food to charitable agencies that feed the poor and hungry in Southern Louisiana. AIDS Housing / Shelter program promotes public-private partnerships in the development of housing for persons living with AIDS. We also provide limited rental and utility assistance to eligible persons to prevent homelessness.

Cornerstone Builders
Cornerstone Builders is a program of AmeriCorps & Catholic Charities which offers employment and leadership training to formerly incarcerated persons to help with their reintegration into the community. Participants work at area non-profit agencies for one year in exchange for a stipend, health benefits and an education award. Each year, about 30 formerly incarcerated persons will participate. Ciara Community Services
Ciara Community Services is a collection of programs that provides housing options for persons with chronic mental illness. (504) 524-8394. Ciara House is a group home that offers housing with supportive services for adults in treatment with the Office of Mental Health, Region One. The Ciara Hospital Diversionary Program provides short-term placement for clients experiencing minor psychiatric or housing crises. The Ciara Independent Living Program offers permanent housing for individuals with mental illness who are capable of living independently. Ciara Permanent Housing Program helps people with severe and persistent mental illness to secure permanent housing.
